Arequipa Days





Arequipa, a beautiful city at the foot of the snow-capped volcano El Misti in southern Peru, is where I spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer (1964-1966), living and working in a barriada called Clorinda Málaga de Prado (now named Independencia).

I was one of some 50 PCVs in the Arequipa area. We had memorable times both at work and at play. This website is a photographic celebration of those wonderful days in "La Ciudad Blanca" and the barriada of Clorinda, with photos also of time spent at Cuzco, Pisac, Machu Picchu, on Lake Titicaca, and in Chile.
