The first corral on earth
Was built by Jabal, there I'd say
The cowboy had his birth
Thank him for the beef on your plate now
Thank for the rodeo
Jabal was the first cattleman
One down and two to go
Yes, Lamech's boys sure made some noise
The world was never gonna be the same
No man's had a greater claim to fame
Than Jabal, Jubal, and Tubalcain
Jubal wrote a fine melody
Said "I'm gonna be a star"
But he had nothing to play it on
So he built the first guitar
Thank him for the tunes that you play now
Hail him on Music Row
He was the first cat to pick and grin
Two down and one to go
Lots of people thought Tubalcain
Didn't seem to have that spunk
While his brothers invented things
He fooled around with junk
Thank him for the billion things now
Guess what, boys and girls,
His junk turned out to be metal work
The first forged in this world
